Will this work on my phone?
Most phones released since 2018 support eSIM, including iPhone XR/XS and later, Google Pixel 3 and later, and Samsung Galaxy S20 and later. To check: on iPhone open Settings › General › About and look for an EID, or dial *#06# on Android. One note: some phones bought in mainland China are sold without eSIM support, so check yours before buying.
When does my plan start?
Installing the eSIM does not start your plan. Your data and validity period only begin once the eSIM connects to a network at your destination. That means you can install it at home before you fly, then simply arrive and connect.
How do I get my eSIM?
Right after your order, you will receive your eSIM by email with a QR code and step-by-step instructions. There is nothing to ship and nothing to wait for — it is all digital.
Can I keep my New Zealand number?
Yes. Your existing NZ SIM stays active for calls and texts on your usual number, while the eSIM handles your data abroad. Most recent phones run both at once, so you do not have to choose.
Can I share my data with a hotspot?
Most plans let you use your phone as a personal hotspot to share data with a laptop or a travelling companion. This uses your allowance faster, so pick a slightly larger plan if you plan to tether often.
